car parking

Free of charge. 27 onsite bays, Including 4 x EV charging bays, 1 x Accessible bay. Bays are not reserved, policed by staff, or monitored. Please be courteous, park only in bays, and seek alternate if none available:

Council lot next door is free 5:30pm to 9am. Or $9/day (Not avail Fri night/Sat morning with Harvest Market).

Street parking is all signed and metered. Check hours. They are patrolled and ticketed.

EV charging is via Chargefox (QR code link). Cables not supplied.

And, the commonsense approach... we have been advised by Tasmania Police there is activity of theft from vehicles across Launceston. We, and the police, can deter, but only you can stop them... when parking overnight, please ensure you DO NOT KEEP VALUABLES in your car..

room amenities

Feel like something is missing? 

We are doing our best to minimise our waste of single-use plastic, and hence amenities (eg: slippers, robes, shower caps, toothbrushes & shaving kits) are only provided upon request. We also have other pillow options. Fresh milk is available. Please contact reception to organise.

after-hours access

Our doors are locked overnight daily, and access is only available with your room key.

If you forget or misplace your key, please press the intercom, and wait for a response. Alternatively, please call 0477 761 440.

Smoking Policy

Hotel Verge is strictly a non-smoking hotel. In the interest of your health and for the comfort of future guests, we request that you refrain from smoking in your room.

Failure to comply, will result in a cleaning fee.

Please see the team at reception who will be happy to direct you to a designated smoking area, outside of the hotel.

Our gym is located on the 1st floor (opposite the lift) and is accessible with your hotel key card 24 hours.

Guest Laundry

An on-site laundry is located on the ground floor, with washing machines and dryers for guest use 24 hours.

It is $5 per load ($1 coins) – change is available from reception. 

Luggage Storage

Temporary luggage storage is available free of charge after you checkout.

Meeting & Events

If you are heading to Launceston on business or organising an event, we offer two superbly appointed meeting & conference spaces, along with a wonderful foyer ideal for welcome drinks or for use as a separate breakout area.

air conditioning

Your room is fitted with an individual air conditioning unit. This allows you to control the temperature and the amount of air circulating in your room.

Control is via the wall-mounted unit located next to the bathroom. 

In-Room Safe

For the additional security of your valuables a safe has been installed in the wardrobe of your room. Instructions for the operation of the safes are located on the front panel.

Items including money, valuables or goods brought into the hotel remain the responsibility of guests – Hotel Verge takes no responsibility for their safekeeping.

housekeeping

All rooms are refreshed daily, with a more comprehensive service, including full change of all linen conducted every third day. 

If you do not wish for the room to be serviced, please use the “do not disturb” button. Housekeeping services are unavailable after midday; if you remove the DND after midday and require any amenities please ask reception.

Our on-site restaurant, Diverge, located on the ground floor (entrance near reception) showcases modern Tasmanian cuisine using locally sourced produce in a modern yet relaxed setting. Our aim is to bring to you the very best of Tasmania on a plate. 

Open for a la carte breakfast & coffee 7 days a week – from 7:00am to 10:00am weekdays, and 8:00am to 11:00am on weekends/public holidays. In addition to dinner service 7 nights a week from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.

The bar is open from 5:00pm to 9:00pm, with happy hour specials available until 6:00pm.

emergency procedures

We ask that you please take this opportunity to familiarise yourself with our Emergency Procedures.

For emergency assistance (Fire/Police/Ambulance) – please dial 000. 

fire detectors

All rooms are fitted with smoke detectors to alert its occupants of fire danger. If a fire eventuates, an alarm will alert the fire authorities. However, if you detect a fire, raise the alarm.  

fire evacuation

In the event of a fire alarm please evacuate the building immediately via the closest safe fire exit – both stairwells at the end of each corridor down to the ground floor (DO NOT USE LIFT). 

The emergency meeting point is outside PCZ4U shop located on the corner of Tamar & Cimitiere Street. Please follow all directions from the fire department and Hotel Verge Staff.
